Fantastic Korean food. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. Service is attentive but not clingy. But the main reason you come here is the FOOD.
I have worked my way through their menu from top to bottom over the time I have been coming here and I must say that I have yet to find anything that I did not like. We have also asked the servers to put together a menu for us and it has always been excellent and the quantity judged to perfection.
Try this place. You won't regret it -

Finally got to try HanMaru! Ordered their bone in hanmaru fried chicken. (Believe me when I say that, I actually ate half of that order. I only stopped, cause my stomach just wasn't letting me eat anymore. As I was also chowing down my main.) The chicken had a good balance of seasoning. There was just enough breading on the chicken. Which made for a nice crispy skin and juicy meat. The pickled radish that's served along with the dish, paired nicely with the fried chicken.
Got their bibimbap as my main. Oh boy! That marinated beef! So flavourful and was happy that, it wasn't sliced paper thin. Though it's not shown in the picture, I liked that they serve their bibimbap with patbap. Husband ordered their soondubu jigae (a spicy soup with tofu and seafoods). It was bubbling hot and the spiciness of the soup, made it perfect for this snowy weather.
Service wise, the staff was helpful and the chef/owner was very accommodating. There was also a large group that came to dine, the same time as we did. The group had no knowledge of Korean food, and their server took the time to explain whatever questions they had, about the dish that they were curious about. -

Formerly the Moon restaurant, they've now padded the uncomfortable seats. The menu has been reworked. Well its totally different now. Gone are the Bento boxes which I liked.
Today my boys and I shared the Beef Bulgogi and the Soy Garlic chicken. The Bulgogi comes stirfried and presented on a hotplate, with fried onions, carrots and green onions. It comes with 5 different banchan dishes (Small side plates), and also a bowl of rice. The soy garlic comes in both full and half orders. Bone in or boneless. The chicken was juicy and delicious.
I'll be back in the future to try some other things on the menu.
From having a conversation with the manager today, it sounds like the owner is formerly from the resto, Anju.
So far so good !!! -

Based on recommendations from my wife's coworkers, we made the trek to Han Maru--the fried chicken was supposwd to be the best in the city. To our disappointment, the restaurant is closed, and appears to be closed long term. A wasted trip for us.

We were surprised to see yet another resturant in this spot. Last resturant was Moon.. a ayce Korean resturant. It's still a Korean restaurant but it's not ayce. The food was great and service fast and friendly. We started with the house made pork fried dumplings. We had the truffle Paderno fried chicken
It was crispy and very tasty. The jap chae was really good as well as the bimbimap. My only complaint was the whole boneless chicken was too pricey.. $30.
